COMEDIAN Mark Watson will perform in the North-East this week, following a special request from his loyal fans.

Mr Watson, a regular on TV’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week, decided to allow fans to dictate where he would visit on his 2011 tour.

One of the 50 venues which emerged was the Gala Theatre, in Durham City.
