TEENAGERS have staged their own in-school charity fashion show.
Youngsters from Lord Lawson of Beamish School, in Birtley, Gateshead, created models’ outfits and haircuts showcasing styles from the 1960s to the present.
The event, held in school on Tuesday, March 15, raised about £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Hairdressing diploma Level Two students designed the hairdos and fellow classmates became models for the day.
About 40 students were involved and the event attracted an audience of about 250 people.
Hairdressing teacher Jackie Van-Hoof said: "It was brilliant."
The fashion show was mentioned on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, on BBC Radio 2.
