A CHARITY golf day is to be held in memory of a cancer victim.
David Dodds, known as Spiderman, died earlier this year following a short battle with a brain tumour. He was 43.
Friends of Mr Dodds, who was a keen golfer, have organised a three-club nine-hole golf challenge in his memory, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The event will be held at Cocken Lodge golf course, Leamside, near Durham, on Sunday, September 12, from 1pm.
Admission is £50 for teams of three players.
There will be prizes for the winning team, the tee shot which lands nearest the pin, the longest drive and putting. A tombola and raffle will also be held.
