AN acclaimed photo-journalist is to deliver a memorial lecture last this month.
Dennis Thorpe, named Ilford Photographer of the Year in 1988 and a former winner of the World’s Press Photo Gold Medal, will deliver the Harry Holder Memorial Lecture on Thursday, May 20 at 7.30pm.
The lecture forms part of the next meeting of Durham Photographic Society, which takes place in St. Oswald's Church Institute, Church Street, Durham City.
Mr Thorpe will speak on "100 Years Of Guardian Photography" and non-members are welcome to attend.
