A TYRE slasher targeted seven cars in the same North-East street.
A police officer called out early today by a car owner who found the tyres had been slashed discovered tyres on six other vehicles had also been damaged.
The incidents happened overnight on Monday in the lane between Standerton Terrace and South View, Craghead, near Stanley.
A Durham Police spokesman said: "All the tyres were punctured by a sharp instrument, possible a knife. We believe these incidents are linked."
