A CHARITY is inviting people to say Happy Mother’s Day in March with a handmade flower arrangement.
Age UK County Durham hosts a monthly ‘Make it special’ programme in Belmont and has organised two Mother’s Day Flower Workshops on Saturday, March 21, the day before Mothering Sunday.
Christine Fletcher, development worker for the charity, said “Each session will last two hours where you’ll be making your very own flower arrangement.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to make your very own floral arrangement for someone special to you.
“All tuition and materials are provided, you can also bring your own accessories if you want to make your arrangement even more personalised.
“All the proceeds are used to fund our vital services to older people who need our help.”
Each workshop costs only £25 per person, with a £10 deposit payable in advance.
Sessions will take place 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm at the Community Shed, next to the Age UK County Durham Superstore, Belmont Business Park, DH1 1TH
