A HUSTINGS event for candidates standing in next week's election is set to take place on Friday.
Durham Cathedral is hosting the event, which will be an opportunity for people to put their questions to candidates standing to be the next MP for the city.
It is being organised by Durham Churches Together and will be chaired by the Dean of Durham, the Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett.
The candidates for Durham are The Green Party's Jonathan Elmer, Labour's Mary Foy, Liberal Democrat Amanda Hopgood, Conservative Harvey Morgan and Lesley Wright, for the Brexit Party.
The hustings start at 7pm.
The event is free and tickets can be reserved in advance by visiting www.durhamcathedral.co.uk.
People are also welcome to turn up on the night.
