FIREFIGHTERS turned their hoses towards dirty cars at the weekend to raise funds for charity.
That's after crews from Consett and Spennymoor held a charity car wash for The Firefighters Charity.
Consett Green Watch raised £130 with their event at Consett Leisure Centre and donations were also received at Spennymoor Community Fire Station on Saturday.
They were also joined by the cadets.
Consett watch manager, Michael Corfield, praised all the firefighters for their efforts and said the initiaitve was very important for helping support the charity.
He said: "It went very well."
