POLICE are hunting a thug who broke a man’s jaw in an early morning attack.
Officers were called shortly after 5am on Saturday, March 16, to Arnold Street in Boldon Colliery on South Tyneside.
A 30-year-old man was found with non-life-threatening injuries to his eyes, nose and head, as well as a broken jaw.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, and police are now eager for any witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Dave Crombie said: “This was a serious assault that left the victim hospitalised with serious facial injuries. People who live in the area may have seen or heard something.”
