WELSH rockers Stereophonics will be joining Noel Gallagher and Foals at a music festival.

The band, led by Kelly Jones, will perform at Exhibition Park, in Newcastle, on Sunday, May 26, as part of the This is Tomorrow Festival.

Organiser Steve Davis said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be able to bring Stereophonics to what is a huge outdoor event for Newcastle.

“They are without a doubt one of the biggest and most consistent bands of the last twenty years and we can’t wait for their stunning live show to head to This is Tomorrow.

“We’ve tried our best to deliver one of the strongest festival line-ups the region has ever seen and they don’t come much bigger than Stereophonics.”

Foals will top the bill on Friday, May 24, with former Oasis star Noel Gallagher headlining the following night.

Newcastle City Councillor Kim McGuinness said: “Our great city has an outstanding track record and real ambition for putting on fantastic events and I’m sure this will be no different with the calibre of artists who will be performing in Newcastle.”

Ticket for the music festival start at £49.
