A HALLOWEEN ball is being held to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Research charity.
The ghoulish event will see the Derwent Manor Hotel, near Shotley Bridge, transformed into a spooky, haunted house.
Organised by Kerry Robson, husband Carl Robson and their daughters, Gracie, Ellie and Lauren, the ball will commemorate her brother Adam Forster who died from a brain tumour four years ago at the age of 42.
Mrs Robson said: “My family and I have taken part in variety of fundraising events in his memory and we’ve raised over £13,000 for the charity so far, but this will be the first time we do something on Halloween.
“It’s been a family effort, with my husband, daughters and my parents all helping to organise the event. We’re really looking forward to it and hope as many people as possible will come along and support us.”
Tickets to the event on October 27 cost £25 and includes a three-course dinner, with live music by ‘Soul Street’, an auction, raffle and tombola.
