FUNNYMAN Peter Kay has added five more dates to the North-East leg of his new nationwide comedy tour.
The 44-year-old Bolton comic is playing the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, in February, 2019, as part of his return to the stand-up circuit.
Tickets went on sale this morning and tour organisers have said there has been ‘phenomenal public demand’.
As well as Monday and Tuesday, February, 11 and 12, the Phoenix Nights star will be performing on Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16, Wednesday and Thursday, February, 27 and 28, along with Friday March 1.
A spokesman for Metro Radio Arena said: “Within the first few hours of the announcement of his first UK stand up tour in eight years, the news was the top Google trend in the UK and was top three on Twitter.
“The official tour video also amassed over 4,000,000 views and over 100 thousand likes, shares and comments on Peter Kay’s Facebook page alone.”
Tickets, £38.50, £49.50, £60 and £104 VIP, all with a £1.20 facility fee are on sale at metroradioarena.co.uk or by calling 0844-493-6666.
