BOY golfer Cameron Gilray earned a bonus when he triumphed in the Under-10 section of the Srixon Durham County Junior Tour.
Victory coincided with his club, South Moor, launching a Performance of the Month award - and PGA professional Shaun Cowell chose Cameron as the first winner.
To go with a Srixon cap, his prize for the county junior tour success, Cameron was presented with a box of golf balls donated by Cowell.
A pupil at Front Street Primary School in Whickham, 10-year-old Cameron, who lives in Burnopfield, played all four of the nine-hole Srixon events during the school holidays.
The grandson of South Moor chairman Bill Littlejohns, he came top in the Order of Merit table after winning at his home club, then playing at George Washington, Hartlepool and Durham City.
Along with seven-year-old Morgan Bailey from South Moor, Cameron will compete in the North-East and Cumbria Srixon finals at the Carus Green club in Kendal on September 13.
