COLLEGE students have run a month-long campaign on the risks of ill-fitting shoes.
New College Durham podiatry students ran their health initiative Footwear for February throughout last month as part of their degree studies.
They made posters and leaflets and spoke to patients at podiatry clinics.
Claire Gilpin, 25, from Durham, offered the following advice: “Try taking your shoe off and draw around it on a piece of paper.
“Next, place your bare foot over the drawing. If your foot doesn’t fit inside the line, you know your shoes are too small.”
