POLICE are investigating after a house was broken into over Easter weekend.
Burglars forced the lock on the back door of a house in Mitchell Street, South Moor, near Stanley at some point between 11.45am on Easter Sunday and 11am the following day.
Intruders searched the entire house and took two laptop computers, an Xbox 360 console, a jewellery box and three items of jewellery.
Anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen items is asked to contact PC Karen Myers of Durham Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
