GOLFERS have raised £5,000 for a city hospice.
Members of Ramside Golf Club, near Durham City, generated the cash for St Cuthbert’s Hospice over a year by holding raffles, sponsored golf days and collections.
Club captain Richard Miller said: “On behalf of all the members of Ramside Golf Club, we are pleased to have raised such a significant amount of money towards a local charity.
“The fundraising activities have been lots of fun and it’s excellent to know that our efforts are going to help such a good cause.”
