GREEN-FINGERED experts will answer queries from the floor as part of Houghall Horticultural Society’s annual meeting, on Tuesday (April 9).

A panel of local gardening gurus will pass on tips as part of a Gardeners’ Question Time event, in the Conference Hall, at the Houghall Campus of East Durham College, off the A177, Durham to Shincliffe road.

The annual meeting takes place at 7pm followed by the gardeners’ forum. All are welcome and there is no charge.

TOGGIES' TREK: A whistle-stop walk round photogenic places of interest in Durham will be overseen by well-known local photographer Philip Nixon, on Tuesday (April 9). Anyone interested in taking part in the two-mile, two-hour trek, should meet at the North Door of Durham Cathedral, with cameras in hand, at 10am.
