A GUIDED walk is staged tomorrow (Thursday April 4) taking in the world’s oldest surviving single arch railway bridge, plus other built and natural landmarks.

Countryside ranger Mike Munro leads the seven-and-a-half mile trek from the Causey Arch picnic area, just west of the A6076, near Stanley, County Durham, at 10am.

Also featuring countryside in the Beamish area of north-west Durham, it is expected to take four-and-a-half hours to complete.
