RESIDENTS are being offered grants to help them brighten up their community.
Durham County Council is encouraging local groups to get involved with The Royal Horticultural Society’s It’s Your Neighbourhood campaign.
The campaign is aimed at small volunteer-led groups who work to clean up their area and make it more attractive using plants and flowers.
Chester-le-Street and District Area Action Partnership is offering grants to groups in its area to help them to improve a community space.
Groups who are successful in obtaining a grant will be supported by Durham County Council’s Civic Pride Team in developing and implementing their improvement scheme.
