TWO alleged burglars accused of targeting the home of an elderly woman were remanded in custody at Durham Crown Court today (Thursday January 31).
Christian Allaker, 54, and 40-year-old Edward Short, made a brief appearance in a preliminary hearing in the case.
The case was adjourned and Judge Christopher Prince remanded Mr Allaker, of Eastfields, and Mr Short, of Fern Avenue, both Stanley, in custody to be brought back for a plea hearing at the court on Friday February 22.
