A LUNCHEON club’s annual Christmas meal will feature some extra ‘VIP’ guests next week.
Wheatley Hill Community Association will lay out the welcome mat to the Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, Sir Paul Nicholson and his wife Lady Sarah Nicholson.
They are taking up an invite to enjoy festive fare with members of the association’s luncheon club, at the Greenhills Centre, in Stephens Terrace, Wheatley Hill.
Tuesday’s (DECEMBER 18) event is backed by the County Durham Community Foundation, of which Sir Paul is a trustee.
It will feature advice to the luncheon club members on how to survive the winter.
A further guest appearance will be made by presenter Lisa Shaw, from Real Radio, who will outline some of the tips to the largely elderly audience.
