POLICE are hunting a group of men who left a trail of destruction around Shotley Bridge and Blackhill.
A set of golf clubs were stolen in a burglary in the early hours of Friday (December 7 morning by a group of men travelling in a black Vauxhall Zafira car.
The clubs were then used to hit and damage around a dozen parked vehicles in the area.
The suspects then drove onto Tyneside where a further dozen vehicles were damaged including in Rowlands Gill, Winlaton and Blaydon. Anyone with information is asked to ring Durham Constabulary on 101.
SNAPPY PRIZE: East Durham College student Luke Wellburn won a digital camera after taking part in a health and safety quiz run by construction company Keepmoat. The 18-year-old, from Haswell Plough, is studying an Electrotechnical Diploma and won the prize at a trade event held in the college’s Technical Academy, in Peterlee, last month.
