Aaron Brown has been passed fit enough to return for Darlington in today’s game at home to York City.
Another bumper crowd is expected at The Northern Echo Arena as the town and surrounding area rallies around Quakers whose existence remains in doubt, despite the emergence of three parties all interested in saving the club.
But the club have been experiencing similarly difficult times on the pitch lately with Tuesday’s defeat at Hayes & Yeading being the fourth in a row – the club’s worst run since the last days of Steve Staunton’s period as manager.
Brown missed out on Tuesday due to an injury sustained last Saturday against Fleetwood Town, but as one of two changes he takes the place of Phil Gray who drops to the bench as does James Gray.
Handed his first start is youth team midfielder Rob Ramshaw. He has been used as a late substitute in the last three games, starting with the game at Barrow.
Former Darlington defender David McGurk is on the bench for York who are fourth in the table.
