Darlington have received a boost with the news that they will be without Graeme Lee for only this weekend’s home game with Hayes & Yeading.

The centre-back was redcarded during Saturday’s defeat at Luton Town after receiving two yellow cards, and there were fears his ban could be more severe.

But Lee’s suspension is for one game so he will return for the trip to York City on Tuesday, while his three previous cautions this season still stand. Players receive a ban once they reach five yellows.

Tickets are on sale now for the trip to Bootham Crescent and they are available from the Arena reception.

Standing tickets are £15 adults, £10 Over-65s and £10 Under-16s, and seated tickets priced £16 adults, £11 O-65s and £11 U-16s.

They are on sale until 5pm on Monday while fans can also buy them from the ticket office at Saturday’s home game with Hayes and Yeading.

They are also available by calling 0871 855 1833 (£1 booking fee per transaction).

Meanwhile, manager Mark Cooper, who yesterday saw a Darlington XI play a behind close doors game with Hartlepool, is running the rule over a potential new keeper to act as back-up to Sam Russell.

A Canadian keeper has been on trial and travelled to Luton where he took part in the warm-up, though he was not named among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, the club’s Under-18s have been drawn away to Gateshead in the first qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup.

The game will be played on Monday at the International Stadium (kick-off 7.30pm).

Craig Liddle’s youth team have been drawn at home to Gateshead Leam Rangers in the first round of the Durham County Challenge Cup.

That game will be played at Norton & Stockton Ancients’ ground, Norton Sports Complex, on Wednesday, September 21 (7.30pm).
