A SHETLAND pony cart was among items stolen when a tack room was broken into.
The incident happened between 6pm and 6.45pm on Friday at a barn in Snipe Lane, on the southern edge of Darlington.
The cart, a pony bridle, a petrol lawnmower and a wheelbarrow were stolen.
Due to the relatively isolated location of the barn, it is thought the burglars must have had a vehicle.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or who may have other informations, is urged to call Darlington police on 0345-60-60-365.
