RADIO presenter Tim West has been putting himself through the final stages of training as he prepares for the Darlington 10k run, on Sunday.
Mr West, 32, has been training for the road race for three months and is going to use the experience as practise for the Great North Run later this year.
He is part of a small team from 103.2 Alpha FM, where he works, who will be doing the Tyneside race in aid of the Butterwick Hospice.
"Sunday should be a breeze compared to the Great North Run," said Mr West, "and I am looking forward to it."
Mr West is from Darlington and has been working for Alpha for nearly a year. He presents the breakfast show.
Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the annual Darlington 10k on Sunday and there will be a number of road closures in place to protect participants. The race starts outside the town hall.
