Andrew Milne makes his first start since rejoining Darlington in today's game at Northampton Town.

The defender returned to the club a fortnight ago from Leeds United and he comes into the side as a replacement for injured left-back Stuart Giddings.

Milne had a short spell with Quakers before Christmas while Giddings suffered an injury in Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Bury.

New signing Chris Moore is on the bench for Steve Staunton's side. The former Whitley Bay winger arrived at the club on Thursday and has been given the number nine shirt vacated by Lee Thorpe.

The teams met at The Northern Echo Arena in January with the Cobblers winning 2-1 after coming back from a goal down.

Tadgh Purcell had given Quakers the lead against a side who were 14th, but an run of good form has seen Ian Sampson's side rise to eighth.

Assisting Sampson is former Sunderland manager Malcolm Crosby who last summer left Middlesbrough where he was one of Gareth Southgate's backroom staff.

In the Cobblers line-up are Boro youngsters John Johnson, a right-back, and Jason Steele, a goalkeeper who has played for England under-19s.

Striker Adebayo Akinfenwa is the Cobblers leading scorer with 15 goals.
