CHURCHES in Darlington are helping to provide lent lunches during the next five weeks.
The lunches are held every Monday during the religious period in St Cuthbert's Church Hall, Darlington.
The first was held last week. They start at 12noon followed by a reading at 1pm, which will be based on The Big Read, Bishop Tom Wright's course on Luke's Gospel.
Speakers will be from different churches in the town and figures in the North-East.
The events run until March 29. Proceeds from the events go to Christian Aid.
