A MAN was taken to hospital following a fire at a Darlington house yesterday.
Firefighters were called to a two-bedroomed house in Hollyhurst Road, Darlington, at 3.27pm after a small fire broke out in a back room on the ground floor.
The fire was extinguished by 3.49pm, leaving the house smoke-logged.
A man, who was in the house at the time, was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
