SHOPPERS in Darlington town centre were given a taste of Devon by three men dressed as cows.
The bovine impressionists were on a tour of the country in a bid to promote the South-West county around the country.
At the same time they are also hoping to raise money for a Devon hospice charity.
Artist Dick Smith, film-maker Barney Sutton and chef Jona A'Hearne are taking part in a competition run by the Devon tourist board to get as much press coverage as possible for the county.
The first prize for which is £10,000.
As well as a You Tube video entitled Devon, Im in Devon which stars Rik Mayall, the trio are touring the country dressed as cows.
They are selling Devon T-shirts and passing out cream tea and chili chocolate for which they are asking for donations.
They hope to raise £1,000 for Children's Hospice South West.
Mr Smith said: "Everybody's been really great and been responding to it really well."
