QUEEN Elizabeth Sixth Form College, in Darlington, is celebrating after eight of its students were offered coveted Oxbridge university places.
To take up their offers, they must all now achieve top grades in their A-level exams this summer.
The three students who have been given conditional offers from Oxford University are Kate Endersby, who will read French, Michael Scott, who will study chemistry, and James Fleming, who will study engineering.
The five students with offers from Cambridge University are Samantha Price and Siobhan Gill, who will study education - Samantha with German and Siobhan with maths - Rebecca Jackson, who will read veterinary science, Jason Stevenson, who will study medicine, and Kathryn Hartwell, who will take a law degree at the university
