AN award-winning crime writer will be talking about her latest book at an event next month.

Elly Griffiths is holding an event at Crown Street Library, in Darlington, on Friday, February 14.

The author, who is behind the Dr Ruth Galloway mystery series, will be giving an insight into what inspires her and will be discussing her latest novel, The Lantern Men.

She has also published several novels under her real name Domenica de Rosa.

Laura Pattison, library events officer at Darlington Libraries, said: “We’re really excited to be able to welcome Elly to Darlington. Tickets have sold out at several places already on her tour and we’re sure this event will prove to be popular among fans of her books.

“We regularly host author events and Elly’s visit will be the first of our 2020 programme.”

An Evening with Elly Griffiths will be held at Crown Street Library on Friday, 14 February, between 7pm and 9pm.
