The event will be help on December 5 at the Harrowgate Hill Club.

The Northern Echo:

Mrs Barr said: ā€œI am so excited to have made it to the final, it is a great achievement and I cannot wait to meet all of the other girls. Many people view Pageants as outdated and all about looks but it cannot be further from the truth.

"Galaxy pageants celebrate diversity, supporting other women and encourage charitable work. I hope to use my platform to encourage young girls to be themselves and celebrate what makes us different.

"Iā€™m so grateful to my sponsor HC-One and our CEO Justin for believing in me and helping me compete in the final.ā€
