THE tea, at Dogs Trust Darlington are looking forward to the rehoming centre’s annual Fun Day which will put waggy tails on plenty of Dogs Trust residents.

Each year the event sets out to raise money in support of rescue dogs, which goes towards providing them with all their home comforts while waiting on permanent homes.

The Fun Day takes place on Sunday, July 14, at South Park, Darlington, between noon and 4pm. There is no entry fee and there is plenty to do for all the family.

Dogs Trust Darlington supporter relations officer Gordon Norrie, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of supporters and local dog lovers on the day, and we will once again be holding the popular Fun Dog Show with classes running throughout the afternoon.

“One resident, who would love to attend Fun Day with his forever family, is Hector, the five-year-old Lurcher, who is as smart as a ‘Whip’pet. Canine carers are hoping he will find his forever home in time for this year’s Fun Dog Show.

“Every penny we raise goes towards the continued care and enrichment of the dogs at the Rehoming Centre, which is why it is important that we make Fun Day the best event it can be.”

“We are still on the lookout for prize donations, so if anyone is interested in giving to the cause, please do get in touch and all support is very much appreciated.”
