DARLINGTON are inviting teenagers interested in joining their academy to attend an open day later this month.
Their academy launched last year with several players since making into the first-team squad.
Seven academy players featued as subs in the friendly win at Bishop Auckland on Tuesday: Cameron Hall, Cameron Holliday, Tom Lycett, Lewy Hoare, Harry Stansfield, Sanny Lingthep and Brandon Morrison.
Quakers are now looking ahead to the 2019-20 season and are hosting a “Talent ID” day at Blackwell Meadows on Tuesday, February 19 beginning at 10am, an opportunity for youngsters to see what their academy offers.
Manager Tommy Wright, assistant Alan White and many of the club’s current first year students will be in attendance.
A morning training session will be followed by a match in the afternoon, so those taking part are asked to bring lunch, a water bottle, training kit, boots and shin pads.
