DARLINGTON have revealed a new shirt sponsor with a communications company.

Sunderland-based Nice Network Ltd will have their logo emblazoned on the back of Quakers’ shirts above the players’ number.

The deal will last for two years and a half years and, subject to FA approval, Darlington will have the logo on their kit for the first time during Saturday’s home game with Spennymoor Town.

Darlington commercial director Craig Morley said: “I first came across Nice Network in a previous role, and always stayed in touch with them.

“We had a brief conversation about advertising within the Blackwell Meadows stadium which then led to a full sit-down meeting and the realisation that a partnership was there to be had.

The Northern Echo:

“With Nice Network rebranding in the last six months, it is the perfect fit for the ‘Back of the Shirt’ sponsorship to gain national coverage for a north-east based firm.”

Nice Network, previously known as CCS Talking Business, are a unified communications company.

Sales director Geoff Burn said: “Working with Darlington FC ticked all the boxes and felt just right. We have known Craig for several years and have always got on well with him.

“We do a lot of youth sponsorship, and being given the opportunity to sponsor the back of the youth teams’ shirts as well as the first team’s, was ideal.

“We have also been working with Puma for 20 years, and so with Darlington FC involved as well, there are plenty of possible synergies.

“We are really looking forward to expanding our business and working with Darlington FC.”
