Music society
DARLINGTON Music Society was forced to postpone their Dolphin Centre concert at ten hours notice on Saturday. They had expected to start their winter season of concerts with a recital by the Jubilee String Quartet, returning for its third visit to the venue. However, on the morning of the concert the society heard from the quartet that one of the players, Canadian violinist Julia Loucks, had, just the day before, badly scalded her hand on a boiling water mixer tap. The concert will now take place on March 3, 2019 at 3pm. The society is very grateful to the audience members and to the staff and management at the Dolphin Centre for their understanding.
