A KNIFE amnesty offering Darlington residents the opportunity to surrender knives and make anonymous deposits of bladed articles that could otherwise be used in crime is now under way. Knives or blades can be handed in safely to 'knife bins' that are being set up by Durham Police across the region, including a bin in Darlington Police Station, off St Cuthbert's Way. The weapons can be handed in without fear of prosecution.
