Rogue traders

TRADING Standards have issued a warning to Darlington residents to be aware of door-to-door salesman who appear to be operating in the town. The callers, who claim to be ex-offenders working as part of a rehabilitation scheme, are offering goods for sale. However, Trading Standards has stated these claims are false. Advice has been issued to not answer the door to strangers and to never allow uninvited callers into the property. Goods or services should not be bought from anyone who arrives on the doorstep. Incidents can reported to the Citizens Advice Consumer Service by calling 03454-040506. Alternatively, search for Trading Standards on darlington.gov.uk
