A LITTLE boy who cannot walk, talk or hear because of a rare condition has had a fundraising day held in his honour.

The recently-opened Darlington business, Junior Kitchen, hosted the event to raise money for Joseph Teasdale.

Junior Kitchen, based off Northgate, runs children’s and after school cooking and baking classes with a cupcake bake sale organised to fundraise for the Joseph’s Dream charity.

Little Joseph joined young chefs for the event that raised hundreds of pounds to go towards buying hydrotherapy equipment to allow the youngster more time in the water where he is most comfortable.

Joseph’s Dream charity was set up by his grandmother, Mandy Hadland, who hopes to give her grandson the best start in life despite his condition that is so rare, it does not have a name.

The owner of Junior Kitchen, Sue Martin, hailed the fundraiser a success and said the children had a great time dressing up in kitchen whites, baking and decorating cakes and receiving certificates.
