TWO town institutions have clubbed together to show their support for each other.
Darlington Football Club hosted the Darlington Town Mission as guests during their home game at Blackwell Meadows on Saturday.
Members of the mission charity met the club's manager, Tommy Wright, as well as several players ahead of the match before enjoying hospitality in the clubhouse.
A spokesman for the mission founded in 1838 to help elderly Darlington residents living in social isolation said: "We enjoyed ourselves despite Darlington not winning".
