FUNDRAISERS looking to take on a red-hot challenge will be given a warm welcome at a Firewalk in aid of a local hospice.
St Teresa’s Hospice is seeking hardy souls to take on a sponsored challenge which will see them walking over hot embers for the charity.
So far nearly 20 people have signed up for the event, which will take place at the Model T in Mowden, Darlington, on Friday February 23.
Those taking part include Hospice staff members Michelle Horner, Julie Cuthbertson, and Sheila Dawson.
Michelle Horner, supporter services manager at the Hospice, said: “We’re always looking to try something new in fundraising. We hope this will give participants the opportunity not just to support their local Hospice but to undertake a challenge they wouldn’t normally do that will motivate and inspire them to achieve their goals.”
There is still time to sign up at www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk or by calling 01325-254321 for more information.
