A STATE-of-the-art education technology package is adapting learning at a Darlington primary school winning a national competition.
West Park Academy earned equipment worth £3,000 from the Promethean Grant project that asked schools why they should win an ActivPanel to be used at the front of classrooms as an interactive display for pupils and teachers to use.
West Park Academy teacher, David Fraser, said: “Our inclusion class needed a base within our school, and we didn’t have any equipment – other than an old projector that had to be wheeled around – to put in the classroom.
"We are so pleased to have won, it has already made a huge difference to the class, the clarity of the screen means that everyone can see what is being shown and the possibilities for learning really are endless.”
