A SITE manager leading a Darlington housing development has been recognised with a national award from a pool of 16,000 other contenders.
Don Ives, who has overseen the building of Emerson Court, off Carmel Road North, will receive a Pride in the Job Award from the National House Builders’ Council (NHBC).
Mr Ives works for developers McCarthy and Stone Lifestyle Living and he was judged for his technical knowledge, leadership and organisational skills.
He said: “I am completely thrilled to receive a Pride in the Job Quality Award. To be commended for this by the NHBC is a real honour.”
Steve Secker, McCarthy and Stone North-East regional managing director, said: “This award is testament to Don’s commitment to delivering the highest standards, from the start to finish of the construction process, and my congratulations go to Don for such deserved recognition from the NHBC for his hard work and professionalism.”
