JUNIOR guitar heroes from Darlington's School of Rock and Pop are tuning up for their first outdoor festival this weekend.
The young rock stars are to take to the stage at Hurworth Grange from 2pm until 7pm on Saturday.
The school holds holiday music classes for 11 to 18-year-olds at the Education Village, Darlington.
Tutor Andrew Meadowcroft said: "If your passion is for classic rock like AC/DC, Kiss and Iron Maiden, or if 21st Century rockers like Trivium push your buttons, then this is the event for you.
"For parents, this is a great chance to get kids off their computer games and into a band - a real opportunity to cure the Summertime Blues."
