A HOTEL is to host a garden party to raise money for a number of charities in memory of one of the region’s best loved magicians.

Rockliffe Hall is looking to raise money for Headway and Brain Tumour Research in memory of Middlesbrough magician Paul Daniels, who died last year – only a month after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The event will be held on Sunday, September 24 between noon and 6pm.

The event will feature a performance by Annette Wardell and supporting entertainment will include the Northern Doctors Chorus amongst others.

Guests will also be able to purchase afternoon tea hampers, with a personal butler service, and there will also be food, craft ale, gin and champagne pop up stalls.

The hotel is also looking to raise money from a raffle and silent auction.

The dress code is black tie and tickets cost £45 for adults – whilst family passes are available from £145 and VIP packages available upon request.
