A HOTEL has raised thousands of pounds for the charitable arm of Middlesbrough Football Club.
Rockliffe Hall has raised almost £4,000 for MFC Foundation through the sales of afternoon teas.
From September to January, £1 from every tea sold at the five-star hotel was donated to the foundation.
Eamonn Elliott, Rockliffe's chief executive, said: "We’re delighted to be able to donate such a healthy sum of money to a worthy cause. At Rockliffe we take pride in supporting local charities and I’m sure our afternoon tea guests will also be pleased to know they’re doing their bit.”
Helena Bowman, head of MFC Foundation, added: “Rockliffe Hall have been incredibly supportive of the foundation for as long as I can remember. Their donation through sales of afternoon tea’s is incredibly generous.”
