DARLINGTON have signed midfielder Josh Falkringham, who was last season with Dunfermline.

Due to his previous club being in Scotland, Quakers required international clearance before completing his transfer.

The 26-year-old is from Leeds and spent 11 years in the Whites’ youth system before being released six years ago and moving to Scotland where he had two years with Arbroath and four at Dunfermline.

He made over 150 appearances for Dunfermline and last season helped them achieve promotion from the third tier before being released by manager Allan Johnston.

His arrival comes in the wake up of Phil Turnbull’s hamstring injury, sustained last Saturday at Nuneaton Town, which will keep him out of action for two or three weeks.

Falkringham was at Bradford Park Avenue on Wednesday evening to see Quakers’ 2-1 win.

Tomorrow Darlington are at Lancaster City in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
