FILM characters followed the road to a Darlington school to educate children about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Darlington Drug and Alcohol Action Team (Daat) used characters from the Wizard of Oz to promote their message.
The four characters, Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion had one message each about drug addiction. The team is one of 12 working across the North-East.
It sent an information bus with the four Wizard of Oz characters to secondary schools and colleges across Darlington.
Darlington Daat unit manager Julie Daneshyar said: "Our aim is to try to reduce the harm that drugs can cause in the local community and to reach as many young people as possible."
Head of year nine at Branksome School Kay Crossling said: "It's been an excellent initiative. Drugs can be a problem among some young people, so anything we can do to keep pupils safe has to be welcome."
