A CHURCH will launch its own drop-in cafe later month with an international visit.
The Baptist Tabernacle, in Corporation Road, Darlington, will open the cafe on Thursday, April 26.
Organisers hope the cafe will enable people from diverse ethnic cultures to relax in a friendly environment and meet Christians from different churches in the town.
A variety of activities will be available, including table tennis, snooker and table football.
The opening of the cafe will coincide with the visit from a group of people from a church in Houston, Texas.
Initially, the drop-in cafe will be run twice a month, on Thursdays from 7.30pm.
Anybody wanting to get involved is asked to contact the minister of the Baptist Tabernacle, the Reverend Gareth Evans, on 01325-267-021 or 07796-642293.
